‘Abstractions’ on View at Palm Beach Gardens Gallery
Midtown Gallery at Midtown at the Gardens is the summertime site of an exciting art exhibition titled “Abstractions.”
The invitation-only exhibition, meaning the artists were selected to participate, features abstract paintings by emerging artists who study at the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta. They include: Christine and Ira Fogel and Jacqueline Rood Leopold, who have homes on Jupiter Island; Buddy Lurier; Beverly Marshall; Michael Rippey; Lelia Schlesinger, of North Palm Beach; Carole Shulz; Jules Slotnik; and Lee Tregurtha.
Sibel Kocabasi, an instructor at the Lighthouse ArtCenter, is curating the exhibition. Kocabasi has a master’s degree in fine arts from Florida Atlantic University.
The exhibit is free and runs through July 31. Hours for the gallery on PGA Boulevard are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For information, call 561-746-3101.
